Welcome To Our Catholic Community
Saint John Bosco Parish has strong roots in Parma Heights, Brook Park and surrounding cities in Cuyahoga County, Ohio, and serves as a spiritual oasis for more than 4,600 members who call it home.
When the Irish writer James Joyce was asked to describe the Catholic Church, he answered, “Here comes everybody!” We believe that is the best description of life and ministry at Saint John Bosco. We are a community that gathers together in prayer, life-long faith formation, fellowship, fun and service. We are striving to grow in holiness – which we define as deepening our relationship with the Lord Jesus personally and as a community of believers. We do all of this from our Catholic perspective.
We invite you to journey with us. If you join us, know that you will be walking with believers who are striving to be the presence of Jesus Christ. We are not perfect, but we are sincere in our efforts to be better people, better Christians every day.
The Eucharist – the real presence of Jesus Christ on the altar – is at the heart of our Catholic identity and all that we do at Saint John Bosco. You are welcome to join us for Mass at any time.
Our Eucharistic Adoration Chapel is open 7 days a week 24 hours a day. It really is a powerhouse of prayer right here on Pearl Road in Parma Heights. Feel free to stop in at any time and spend time in prayer in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament.
Look over the information available here. It offers a glimpse of the life and ministry at Saint John Bosco. But the best way to experience all that we are as a parish community is to come and spend time with us. Our parish staff is available if you have specific questions or concerns. You can contact us by calling the parish office, 440-886-3500.
If you are new to the area, welcome! If have been away from the parish for a while for any reason, please come home and join us at the “table of the Lord.”
Peace,
Father Matthew Byrne, Pastor and
the Catholic Community of St. John Bosco in Parma Heights, Ohio
