Date:             Sunday, April 7, 2024

Time:            2:00pm – 3:30pm

Place:            St. John Bosco Church, 6480 Pearl Road, Parma Heights, Ohio 44130

Note:              You may bring a rosary to use as we all pray the chaplet together

In her Diary, St. Maria Faustina Kowalska recorded 14 revelations from our Lord requesting this feast. The most complete, concise description is found in entry 699: I desire that the Feast of Mercy be a refuge and a shelter for all souls, and especially for poor sinners. … The soul that will go to Confession and receive Holy Communion shall obtain complete forgiveness of sins and punishment.

The Divine Mercy Service will be a communal time of prayer and worship. During this service we will have Eucharistic Adoration, Praise & Worship music, a sung version of the Divine Mercy Chaplet and Benediction.

We pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet for mercy – in our lives and in our neighbors’ lives as well. We also pray the chaplet to remind ourselves that we must rely on God.

To receive the extraordinary graces of this feast, the only condition is to receive Holy Communion in the state of grace on Divine Mercy Sunday (or the vigil celebration), by making a good Confession beforehand and staying in the state of grace and receive Him with great trust in Divine Mercy. The Novena to the Divine Mercy is a nine-day prayer given to St. Maria Faustina directly by our Lord Jesus. The Novena should be started on Good Friday and conclude on Divine Mercy Sunday. Find the novena here: Divine Mercy Novena
