St. John Bosco Parish has the motto “Called to holiness; Sent to Serve.”  On Saturday, September 17, 2022, the community once again expressed it in action.  The volunteers for the annual Community Service Day started their day with 8:30AM Mass. Afterwards, they moved to the Bell Tower to join their teams and get directions to their service sites. Nearly 200 people accepted this call to service.  They packed care packages for prisoners, collected food and paper products for local food pantries, helped at a local animal shelter; played games and made crafts with nursing home residents, and did various types of yard work; they cleaned and helped organize where needed.  Their efforts were supported by the prayers of many.  See photos of this year’s Community Service at the links below.
