The Order of Christian Initiation of Children is for children who are seven years of age or older who have not received the sacrament of Baptism, or for children who have been baptized in another Christian denomination, but have not received their First Holy Communion and have not been enrolled in a Parish School of Religion Program (PSR). This process begins in the Fall, and normally takes place on Monday evenings from 7:00 pm until 8:15 pm. The preparation process normally takes one year. After completing the OCIC process children are placed in the appropriate level in the PSR program.
