The OCIA (Order of Christian Initiation for Adults) is for unbaptized persons or Christians of other denominations who wish to know more about the Catholic faith. The process involves learning about the teachings and traditions of the Church as well as sharing in its rituals. OCIA is not an obligation to become Catholic, however, those who desire may be fully initiated as Roman Catholics at the Easter Vigil Mass or at an appropriate time throughout the year. Catholics interested in sharing their faith in this ministry are invited to join the RCIA Core Team, which works in collaboration with parishioners from St. Bridget of Kildare Parish in Parma.
