On Monday, June 24th – a National Eucharistic Revival Ballpark Mass was held at Canal Park Stadium. Over 900 Catholics attended this beautiful, bilingual celebration with celebrant Bishop Ed Malesic and guest homilist, Fr. Rafael Capo. Music direction was provided by Saint John Bosco’s Director of Worship, Andy Andino with a full band, bilingual choir and vocalist Wendi Andino and SJB cantor, Nellie Krawczynski.
There are 250 delegates from parishes throughout the Diocese of Cleveland who will be attending the National Eucharistic Congress in Indianapolis this July. Bishop Malesic blessed the delegates, including SJB parishioners Jerry and Jan Bacher, during the Mass.
Following Mass, the entire congregation joined in a Eucharistic Procession on the streets of downtown Akron, which ended at St. Bernard Catholic Church with a packed church praising and adoring Jesus in Adoration.
Please pray for all who will be attending the National Eucharistic Congress, especially for Jerry and Jan Bacher. Tickets are still available to attend the 5-day Congress. Visit the Eucharistic Congress website here for all the details.
